Hong Kong - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk was announced as "The Best Domestic Bank" in Indonesia at Best Domestic Bank Awards 2014 for Asia Pacific region, conducted by Asiamoney Magazine. This prestigious award was received by Achmad Baiquni, CFO of Bank Rakyat Indonesia.

The scoring for this award was done independently by International Economic Journalist and Financial Analyst. More than 100 banks in Indonesia were judged by this independent institution. The criteria used in determining the winner were mainly focused on the company's business performance and due to its sterling effort in expanding business capabilities, BRI scores the highest among Indonesia banks.

As the second largest lender in Indonesia by assets, with loans and deposits focus on micro-businesses, BRI has stood in a good stead. Despite a turbulent currency for Indonesian Rupiah over the year, BRI has weathered the challenging environment with a strong result.
